Hi amy! I'm not going to the bloggers brunch but will be at #dpcon12. I did my first vlog last night for my post today but didnt end up using it. So much was so similar to yours..i.e. What I look like, nigel no friends, painfully shy, come say hi! See you in march! x
Your voice is not horrible! Hey, you did that pretty well. I tried a vlog once, it took me about 30 takes and I deleted it after a couple days lolAnd don't worry, when people meet me for the frst time they usually think I want to stab their eyes out :)
Hey Amy!Loving your Vlog. I have not yet done one ;)I won't be attending the bloggers brunch but i am hoping to be at the #dpcon12. x
Yay! You did it - a vlog (which I pronounce just like blog but with the vvvv sound)... That makes you a helluva lot braver than me! I can't, for the life of me, imagine you coming across as a bitch, though, uh-uh, sorry, nup, don't believe you!Hope you meet lots of lovelies at the blog meets - of course you will!
@Kate- Haha Kate, that made me giggle! Will defiantly see you in march!@Liz- Haha, kinda good to know I’m not alone,That is actually my second take... I would of used my first expect the dog kept barking.I could of kept going, but figured I would be too harsh on myself and just used none of them... @ Me 'N My Monkeys- Thank you! Will see you in March!
@Sif- We must of commented at the same time. I guess I can seem kind of stand-offish... When really I would love to just say hi, but my inner dialogue is doubting myself... Thank you so much for your comment xx
Yeah, I'm sure I come off as stand-offish as well. That is when I'm not just coming off as plain rude - like when someone who comments on my blog a lot comes up and says, "Hi, it's me, X" and I just stare at her blankly (while in my head, I'm going, "OMG, someone spoke to me, ME! No wait, maybe they were speaking to the wall behind me? Oh no, I'm suppose to know this person but all the faces and names in my head have evaporated like steam on a cold day... Oh, she's gone, I'm such a dunce)...
Hi Amy,Great idea. I'm like you, I have a logo as my avatar so when I introduced myself had to say my name and my blog and even said what my logo looked like so people would know who I am.I'm not going to Bloggers Brunch this time round (sending that 'thanks for but can't make it' RSVP email was hard)But I do hope to meet you at DPCON12. Love & stuffMrs M
I vlog probably a little too much (but it stops autocorrect from changing my words inappropriately). I'm worried about meeting people at DPCon12 too! You get used to one pic, and then they change it and look totally different! We should all be forced to wear shirts with out blog logo on I think!Congrats on your first vlog!
1. Your voice is in no way horrible.2. You're WAY braver than me, I'm a vlog scaredy cat!3. If you don't come and give ME a hug and say Hi at the brunch I'll stalk you down, be warned ;)4. Can't wait to meet you :D
@Sif- I know that well...@Maria- Look forward to meeting you in March! I am slowly changing my logos over... I like hiding behind the bird though :-P@Jess- Haha, you have made me giggle today with the booms and the boobs!@Kate- I was so nervous when I hit publish. I felt sick! Thanks for the warning, you may just have to stalk me down. I am bound to be a nervous wreck!
Oh this was so nice!!! You have a lovely voice don't be silly xxxxx
Nice vlog! You speak well, and to echo everyone else, you do not have a horrible voice AT ALL :)
Hi Amy!!I'm the same...no courage to go up to someone and talk...but as soon as they make the first move I don't stop!
Well done Amy! Don't worry, we all think we sound horrible recorded!! I did my first vlog (or you-tube clip anyway) the other day - scary huh! I didn't put it up for a few days, and when I did I didn't tell hardly anyone - too scared! So you're braver than me :) But a friend saw it and blabbed, so it's done now...Hope you have a great time at the blogger's brunch - would love to go to some bloggy things and meet other bloggers but I live too far away from just about everywhere! One day. Jo :)
You were fine! And I'm totally the same, way too shy to introduce myself ;)*Hopefully* we might meet in March! If not, just come to Adelaide and look me up ;)
Seriously, that was great! You have WAY more courage then me. Just the thought of doing a vlog at this point gives me pulpatations LOLBut I totally understand how you are feeling. I feel the same way when meeting people, so a big deal for me going to DP2012 next year! If I don't have a heart attack on the way, that is :Px
Good stuff! And oh so brave I might add - no vlogging just et for me... But it is a great idea and you should feel very proud! And no, your voice is not terrible and yes, you are lucky you have convinced your kids to help you make the bed :)Cant wait to meet you at DP Con next year, my fellow Kardashian lover!
Aw, there's my blogging buddy! Well done you! Your voice is fine. I haven't vlogged and unleashed my Kiwi accent on everyone yet. But, then Mitsubishi went and did it for me on YouTube - yikes! I might think about vlogging before #pbevent this Friday, or if I chicken out, before the bloggers brunch, or if I chicken out again there's always #DPCON12! So lucky to be going to them all. By the end of it I should know everyone!!!See you in person next month ;)
Hi Amy, nice to 'meet' you! See you in Melbourne next year! Warning: I am a Hugger.x
Hi Amy! Im going to the kids business brunch too and DPC2012 and I am super nervous so we can be nervous together! It is scary meeting people in the flesh..but it will be a lot of fun!see you there x
Yay!! Well done on the vlog. Maybe I should be doing one too!You make sure if you see me cowering in the corner you come and hug me too!! Can't wait to meet you, Amy. ;)
