Do you need some pampering? + giveaway {closed}

I got an awesome email on Friday telling me all about the fab Keratinology by Sunsilk pop-up salon and that it would be at two locations in November, then my heart sank a little as I realised that I wouldn't be able to go and treat myself as travelling 17 hrs to go to a hair salon would be a little bit of an effort... But then I though of you guys and realised that some of you do live close enough to be able to treat yourself to this awesome experience.

So here are the details:

You’re invited to come and indulge- your hair will be treated to a wash and blow-‐dry while you sip champagne and learn about the new Keratinology by Sunsilk collection designed to extend your salon experience between visits.

Keratinology by Sunsilk has transformed a luxury film-‐location Winnebago into a glamorous, immaculately styled mobile pop-‐up salon.

The pop-‐up salon will be offering VIP treatments with the new Keratinology by Sunsilk range at a number of Sydney locations, including Circular Quay and Parramatta, in the first two weeks of November.

Keratinology by Sunsilk is a premium collection featuring advanced Keratin Micro Technology that’s scientifically proven to address the common damage symptoms experienced as a result of repeated bleaching, colouring or ironing, and prolong the luxurious look and feel experienced when you first leave the salon.

This is open to the general public. For just $20 you can indulge in a luxurious wash and blow-‐dry, receive the complete Keratinology by Sunsilk Advanced Reconstruction range, the latest issue of marie claire and a glass of champagne – an indulgent package valued at over $90 dollars.

Call 0426 293 611 to book your exclusive salon appointment – please note, credit card details are required to secure your booking.

Visit the Keratinology by Sunsilk Pop-‐Up Hair Salon at any of the following locations:

All you need to do is comment on this post and tell me about your worst hair disaster. Mine would probably be when my hair dresser turned my hair orange, like orangutan orange, the week before I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding. Needless to say, I haven't been blonde since that incident over 2 yrs ago.

For additional entries feel free to tweet, and share on facebook. But please come back here to let me know that you did.
And don't forget to tell you Sydney friends about the Keratinology by Sunsilk pop-up salon even if you can't make it yourself.

Entries close on the 15th of November 2011 and I will draw the winner on the 16th of November via random.org

Disclaimer: I received no remuneration for this post, I just want to share to with you what I think it is a pretty fab opportunity. We all need pamper time, right?! The prize will be sent direct to the winner from Morey Media.

  5. I am a shocker with my hair. I get bored easily so change colour often and the state of my hair reflects it!

Embarrassed to admit I've gone green by accident more than once when attempting to go brunette from blonde. You'd think I'd learn! Luckily I know that red fixes everything (there's a reason I got back to red a lot too lol) BUT red is a bugger to strip out when you want to go back to blonde again! I hear you on the orangutan orange lol!

  12. Well, my short bob-like hair (too curly to be a proper bob!) when I was little wasn't good. Although my husband wanting to dye my hair himself has the potential to be the worst ever!

I have had so many I don't know where to start,I've been the orange you speak of at the hands of a hairdresser it was after I went to get black dye stripped out of my hairshe burned my scalp so badly,I had blisters on my scalp for 2 weeks!she poured some milk over to help the burns and applied the new colour that was the orange, when I sais I wasn't happy she told me my scalp was too badly burned that I'd have to come back in 2 weeks to get it done again, hats were my best friend! Have also been green after a ash toner took a little to well!-where's my hat!

  17. A perm disaster at thirteen,
    Wiry, tight and mean.
A crop top at twenty five
    Did not want to survive!!
cut my own hair at thirty two
my life was hell, so blue.
    Finally my hair is great,
    It is my best mate,
learnt my lesson, dont follow trends,
be yourself, you know your hair!!

  18. I decided I wanted some soft curls. The hairdresser had other ideas, she gave me a tight, UGLY, perm. She should have just dyed it blue while she was at it. Then I would have looked just like Aunt Mavis.

  19. I went to the hairdresser for a trim. She turned my waist length hair into shoulder length. I've never been back to a hairdresser!

  20. Dyed my hair grape purple once, but didn't pay attention to the skin sections. Did I enjoy having a purple forehead, ears and neck for a couple weeks? not really, but people sure were complimentary about my hair!

  21. First time I dyed my hair blonde it went bright orange and ever so frizzy! I got called the Orange scarecrow by a few, lol

  23. My hair being so dry and damaged it is dropping out in chunks, having ruled out medical causes I am at a loss what to do about what is fast becoming sparse, wire dry bits of frizz and dead ends

  25. I went overseas to get married and three days before the wedding I decided to dye my hair blonde. the hairdresser at the salon turned my hair bright cannery yellow! I was so upset that I started crying in the salon. She said come back the day before the wedding and she would fix it but I thought she might stuff it up more so I ended up at another salon. I ended up with brown hair for the wedding as I was not risking another blonde disaster!

  28. Definitely the Lucille Ball orange. Looked at myself in the mirror and saw a clown in the reflection

  29. Definately when I tried to fudge my hair green. I saw myself as an exciting rebel with clear funky green hair, unfortunately my mirror found me to be a kink of streaky, dark baby poo greenish that looked more army than rebel.

  30. I wanted some soft, romantic curls, but my hairdresser interpreted that as a tight poodle perm, just in time for our company annual conference in Queensland - humidity and poodle perm = pooffy hair!

  34. My lovely hairdresser (when I was a teenager) thought it would be a good look to cut the sides really short and leave the back long (yes like a mullet), it was horrid.

  35. Worst hair disaster so far was a layered cut that went wrong, looked like a 2 year old had taken to my head. So terrible. I purchased a wig to cover it.

  36. A hair disaster of sorts - when I decided to cut all of my dolls hair and chuck the clippings out of my bedroom window thinking that no-one would find them. Well of course my Dad found them didn't he!

  40. My worst hair disaster was when I had a ton of hairspray on to hold my 'do and it poured with rain for 30 minutes at an outdoor event (with no shelter) and my hair went completely gluggy with congealed hairspray. It was a complete disaster.
